The Agency for Strategic Reforms of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with district and regional authorities and businesses, has unveiled a comprehensive plan for the economic revitalization of the Buka district in the Tashkent region. This strategy encompasses the establishment of two industrial zones spanning 100.8 hectares in Zhuraobod and Kuk Orol mahallas, with a focus on creating 'smart' greenhouses for cultivating a new variety of tomatoes in Samarkand mahalla. This project has piqued interest with potential investment of up to $36 million from South Korean entities. The district also aims to develop a fruit and vegetable freezing complex for exports, expand trade and service facilities along the A-373 highway, and offer land for entrepreneurial development adjacent to the highway.
