REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TAPANULI SELATAN — The Regent of South Tapanuli Gus Irawan Pasaribu, along with the community, expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) of the Republic of Indonesia for their direct presence and the provision of humanitarian aid for the flood and landslide victims in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. Amidst the grief and limitations experienced by the residents, the presence of the state was felt and brought new hope to the community struggling to face the disaster. Gus Irawan explained that the flood and landslide disaster that hit South Tapanuli caused widespread impacts in almost the entire regency. Out of 15 sub-districts, 13 were affected, with several villages experiencing severe damage and isolation due to the disruption of road access.
