The 2025 harvest season for Gannan navel oranges continued the pattern of abundant production, with a total output of approximately 193 million tons, basically maintaining the same level as in 2024. In terms of regional distribution, the core production areas made outstanding contributions: Xinfeng County produced 286,000 tons, accounting for nearly 15% of the city's total; Xunwu County's 15,000 acres of early-maturing "Gannan Early" variety produced a total of 30,000 tons, a slight increase of 5% compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the sweetness of Gannan navel oranges this year has generally improved compared to previous years, with early-maturing varieties reaching 12-13 degrees, and the sweetness of oranges in the best maturity period from late November to mid-December reaching as high as 17 degrees, with a more balanced sugar-acid ratio and a sweeter and more moist taste.
