Sowing of early spring crops in the Stavropol Territory in Russia

In total, 780.7 thousand hectares are planned to be sown with spring crops in the region Spring sowing is underway in the Stavropol Territory. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, as of March 15, early spring cereals (barley, oats, peas and millet) in the region were sown on 78.3 thousand hectares, or 30.6% of the planned area. The leaders of spring sowing in the region are Petrovsky urban district (15.7 thousand hectares), Krasnogvardeisky (7.8 thousand hectares) and Stepnovsky (6.7 thousand hectares) municipal districts. In total, the farms of the Stavropol Territory during spring field work will have to sow 780.7 thousand hectares of spring crops, including 255.7 thousand hectares of grain crops. Winter crops for the 2023 harvest in the region are located on an area of 1,973.8 thousand hectares (excluding rapeseed), they have grown on 1,965.6 thousand hectares, or 99%.
