Spain's Ministry of Agriculture has reported that the country produced 1,154,544 dozen chicken eggs in 2020, with a total of 50.33 million laying hens, including geese and legs. The majority of these eggs were produced in cages or on the floor, with a smaller number from free-range or organic farming. Castilla La Mancha led in egg production with 290,322 thousand dozen, followed by Castilla y León and Aragon.
