Spain exported 7% more cured ham in the first quarter

Spain has exported 13,600 tons of cured hams and shoulders during the first quarter, which represents a 6.77% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Spanish Serrano Ham Consortium. This organization reported that the value of these exports reached 170.4 million euros, a 12.6% increase in a period when the price per kilo rose 0.26%, standing at 12.53 euros. The European Union remains the main market for these foods and increased sales by 4.4%, exceeding 9,260 tons.
