Spanish olive oil production and stocks at the end of January 2024

The Spanish Food Information and Control Agency (AICA) has released olive oil production figures until the end of January 2024. According to them, this year's total Spanish production amounts to 774,653 tons, while of this quantity 190,410 tons have been produced in the province of Jaén. Spanish production in the month of January reached 185,019 tons. The total stocks of Spanish olive oil, as of January 31, 2024, amounted to 735,144 tons, of which 547,310 tons are in the mills, 184,000 tons in packing houses and 3,834 tons are the Community stocks. AICA figures show a significant increase in exports has been recorded this past month.
