Soybean producers prioritize the sowing of the new crop, while domestic prices record few variations

The Brazilian soybean market ended the week with a moderate pace of business. According to analyst Rafael Silveira from consultancy Safras & Mercado, some lots traded throughout the day, but nothing very significant. The focus of the producer remains on the progress of the new crop planting, which reduces their participation in the available negotiations. Silveira highlights that the industry and port continue with slow movements, in an environment of little external fluctuation. "CBOT, dollar, and premiums varied very little, so prices also changed little," he explains. With that, the week was considered calm in terms of commercialization, both for the old crop and the new crop. The soybean futures contracts traded on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) ended Friday with lower prices for grain and oil, and a slight increase for meal.
