A team of students and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rajwadee Silaphan from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand have developed the KomilO application and IoT system to improve dairy cow fertility by detecting estrus with over 80 percent accuracy. The system, which includes ear and tail base sensors, is designed to improve dairy farming efficiency by reducing the number of cows with empty stomachs due to missed estrus cycles. The application sends alerts for artificial insemination and notifies farmers through a web application and smartphone. The team is working on improving the system's stability for commercial use, with the ultimate goal of enhancing Thailand's agricultural security and benefiting farmers.
