Al-Moselhi indicated in today's statement that contracts have been signed with African countries in addition to India to import this meat, such as Sudan, Djibouti, Tanzania and Uganda, adding that the diversity of origins will contribute to providing the required quantities to meet the citizen's needs, at lower prices than market prices. Al-Moselhi revealed the arrival of large quantities of contracted heads at the slaughterhouse and quarry of the South Valley Development Company in Toshka, the slaughterhouse and quarry of Safaga in Hurghada, and the Abu Simbel slaughterhouse in Aswan. He pointed out that a contract is underway through the Supply Commodities Authority to provide 5,000 tons of Brazilian frozen meat, and it is expected to be offered at competitive prices that contribute to reducing and stabilizing the prices of frozen meat, in addition to taking contracting procedures for 1,000 tons of frozen Indian meat, which is expected to arrive this month.
