The article highlights a unique initiative by Çarşamba Municipality in collaboration with the Public Education Center and the District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate, aimed at boosting goose breeding in the region. The project, titled "Goose Breeding Course," has seen the distribution of 2,000 goslings to course attendees as an incentive, with the first batch already distributed and more to follow in May. This initiative is designed to enhance agricultural activities, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the production of feathers, meat, and eggs. Additionally, the project is expected to significantly aid in controlling weeds in hazelnut fields, particularly with goose feathers being effective in this regard. The mayoral staff is optimistic about the project's potential to invigorate the local economy and is looking forward to the complete distribution of the goslings.
