The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has distributed seeds and agricultural equipment to 500 farmers from South Sudan, as part of a four-year initiative. The package included seeds for corn, beans, sorghum, peanuts, sesame, and vegetables, along with farming tools. The distribution took place in the rural areas of the capital, Juba, and was celebrated with the involvement of the Cuban Ambassador and local farmers' union leaders. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of these farmers during the rainy season, allowing them to both sustain their families and generate income through the production surplus.
