With the focus on the digital divide that is increasingly widening in the agricultural sector, Syngenta has launched a proposal that promises to help close this gap. Five years after the launch of Cropwise™, the digital agricultural management platform that already supports more than 70 million hectares in over 30 countries, the company is now betting on the Cropwise Open Platform, an initiative designed to drive innovation and connect external developers from around the world.
As reported, the initiative aims to open the digital base of Cropwise, offering the opportunity to use "Syngenta's AI and machine learning capabilities," as well as its "aggregated agronomic knowledge, to deliver solutions on an unprecedented scale."
