Despite the earliest anchovy abundance in the Black Sea in recent years, this abundance did not significantly reflect in the export figures. From January to October 2025, the export of anchovies to 19 countries generated a total foreign exchange income of 12 million 887 thousand 842 dollars for 2 million 739 thousand 313 kilograms. In the January to October 2024 period, despite the scarcity of anchovy fishing, the export of anchovies to 20 countries generated a foreign exchange income of 12 million 306 thousand dollars for 2 million 288 thousand 446 kilograms. During the January to October 2025 period, Belgium ranked first in anchovy exports with 3 million 931 thousand 390 dollars, followed by France with 3 million 785 thousand 505 dollars and Germany with 1 million 794 thousand 77 dollars.
