With one month left until the end of the fiscal year, the Spanish countryside has reduced by 12% the hectares damaged, although more than 710 million euros in indemnities are expected, 5% more than a year ago, according to Agroseguro. The latest loss report from the Spanish Association of Combined Agricultural Insurance Companies (Agroseguro), with data as of November 30, 2025, shows that the agricultural area damaged to date is 1,454,125 hectares, 11.5% less compared to the same period in 2024. The 710.92 million euros expected in indemnities are divided among agricultural lines (556.25 million), livestock -accidents, disease, and pastures- and aquaculture (66.46 million), and livestock -withdrawal and destruction- (88.21 million). In the first eleven months of the year, 1.4 million losses have been recorded, of which 1.2 million correspond to the withdrawal and destruction of animals, compared to 104,467 agricultural losses and another 94,870 in livestock and aquaculture.
