The agro-export sector already assumes that there will be no new cut in the export duty rates in 2026 and, in the specific case of soybeans, it expects the Government to present a "roadmap" to advance in the long term in its reduction and definitive elimination. This was stated in an interview with BAE Negocios by the president of the Chamber of the Oil Industry of the Argentine Republic (Ciara) and the Center of Cereal Exporters (CEC), Gustavo Idígoras, who also called for an "agroindustrial RIGI", considering that the sector is not among the beneficiaries of that tax exemption scheme. Idígoras warned about the pernicious effects on soybean production of the withholdings, the lack of investment in infrastructure, and the financial inconveniences, to the point that competitor countries have improved their yields, while in Argentina there has been fifteen years of stagnation.
