Future payments will be more targeted, directed solely at truly active farmers and adapted to support more clearly defined groups of farmers – young, small, operating in areas with specific difficulties. This was emphasized by Mario Milushev, Director at the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission, specifying that the direct payments provided for in the proposal for the CAP reform 2028–2034 will also become fairer.
