Russia: The corn harvest in Primorye at the end of the current season amounted to almost 400 thousand tons

Thanks to a good harvest, the region’s farms will be able to provide food for animals and poultry, as well as contribute to the national project “International Cooperation and Export”. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the largest amount of corn grain was collected by farmers of the Oktyabrsky municipal district and Mikhailovsky district - 74 thousand tons each. “In total, agricultural producers from 77 thousand hectares harvested 392 thousand tons of corn, which is 105% compared to last year. The grain is intended for livestock farms in the region, part of the production will be exported to neighboring regions, as well as countries of the Asia-Pacific region,” the Ministry of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory said. According to experts, corn yields this year are low, averaging 54 centners per hectare.
