Olimerca.- About to end the olive harvest in the main countries of the Mediterranean basin, the technicians of the European Commission have updated their data regarding the production of olive oil, as of January 10, 2023 and corresponding to the period October and November 2022. Thus, the figures used for Spain include an estimated production of 780,000 that could vary between 10/12% due to the insecurity that some countries present in the presentation of their data. Thus, we will have to wait until mid-February to adjust these estimates; although sources from the sector itself already consider that there will hardly be any variations on these figures, if we take into account the rate of collection and grinding so far this campaign.
