Thailand has started exporting fresh chicken eggs to Taiwan, with the first shipment containing 325,000 eggs worth about 1.5 million baht. The export is expected to generate over 230 million baht in 2023. The Department of Livestock Development oversees the production chain to ensure quality standards and food safety, contributing to maintaining a balance between production and consumption and stabilizing prices for farmers. Thailand's poultry and egg industry, with a history of no bird flu outbreaks for over 15 years, is opening fresh egg markets to create new export opportunities.
