South Korea: The forestry direct payment system will be implemented in October next year

Foresters who produce forest products such as chestnuts and pine nuts or are engaged in the forestry industry are expected to receive forestry direct payments from next year. At a plenary meeting on the 5th, the National Assembly's Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock, Food, and Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Committee voted on the "enactment of the Act on the Operation of Direct Payment System for Promotion of Forestry and Forestry Public Functions" with the aim of introducing the forestry direct payment system.
