Sunflower meal exports reached a record high in 2025 and garnered all the attention in the vegetable meal market. This was pointed out by economists Franco Pennino, Emilce Terré, and Julio Calzada in a report published in the Weekly Bulletin of the Rosario Stock Exchange. The study contrasts the dynamics of the sunflower complex with that of soybean meal, impacted by the consequences of a higher supply derived from the increase in oil exports. “Taking into account that meal is obtained simultaneously with oil, changes in the production of one necessarily affect the availability of the other. With the second highest volume of oil exports of the century between January and November 2025, the analysis of the meal market is of special interest,” the economists point out.
