The Government plans to pay the aid to farmers for the storms this month.

Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Minister Luis Planas has indicated this Thursday that the first payments to beneficiaries of the 2.874 billion euros package aimed at mitigating the effects of the series of storms are expected to reach their beneficiaries during this month of April. "This same week has begun the period for the first list of potential beneficiaries, 140,500, to be able to avail themselves of the aid," explained the minister in statements to the media at the Ham Museum of Aracena (Huelva), after meeting with representatives of the Municipality and the Iberian pork and cheese sector.
