The advance of the agribusiness in the third quarter led to a new upward revision in the GDP estimates of the soybean and biodiesel production chain for 2025. According to data released by Cepea (Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics), from Esalq/USP, the projected growth is now 11.66%. The revision occurs after the intensification of grain processing and the increase in biodiesel production in the second half of the year, especially with the entry into force of the B15 blend, which came into effect on August 1st. The update of the projections also reflects the positive impacts on the agribusiness services that make up the chain. The soybean crushing segment recorded a favorable performance, aligned with the estimates of Abiove (Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries), which had already been signaling a recovery of the processing industry throughout the year.
