Turkey's role as a primary customer for Ukrainian corn may come under pressure in the 2025-2026 agricultural season, although demand is currently being maintained, commented experts from the analytical agency ASAP Agri, cited by the online publication AgroPortal. Buyers for shipments with delivery in November-December are offering 230-232 dollars per ton on a CIF basis (including costs and insurance to the cost of the goods and transport – ed. note) to Marmara Island in the Sea of Marmara, which is above the 225 dollars per ton offered at the beginning of August. The increase is due to rising corn prices and on the domestic market in Turkey. However, buyers are not rushing to place orders, expecting prices for later delivery periods to decrease when the delayed but significant Ukrainian harvest enters the market.
