In Crimea, a unique pink sea salt is harvested from Lake Sasyk-Sivash near Yevpatoria. Miners plan to collect 15 thousand tons of salt this year, which is rich in beneficial microelements. The salt harvesting process has remained unchanged for over a hundred years, with the main salt harvester being made in 1934. Salt crystals grow naturally in the lake's pools, influenced by the sun, wind, and sea water, and after harvesting, the salt is left to reduce magnesium content and becomes white.
