Ukraine's vegetable harvest this year has been significantly lower than expected, leading to a notable increase in potato imports and a decrease in other vegetable imports. This is due to a decrease in the value of domestic vegetable supplies and a shift in activity and specialization of many enterprises. Turkey, Poland, and the Netherlands are the main suppliers of vegetables to Ukraine. The high prices of vegetables in 2022, which increased by 68%, are expected to continue due to the quality and quantitative decrease in various crops. However, the domestic market is expected to be largely supplied by its own production for most fruits and vegetables, especially those grown in accordance with the country's natural and climatic features.
