Greece is experiencing a shortage in its domestic market, leading to the import of sheep's milk from Sardinia as feta milk prices reach up to 1.20 euros per kilo. This situation has sparked concerns within the industry and calls for increased controls on imports. The Federation of Livestock Breeders and Livestock Associations of Thessaly is advocating for the immediate payment of farmers who have not received aid, the financing of the ARTEMIS PLUS system to prevent the Hellenization of goat and sheep milk, and the need for specific pricing in contracts for the new dairy season. The ministry will address these issues in an upcoming meeting.
