The Jeonnam Agricultural Technology and Extension Services is supplying 50,000 superior strawberry seedlings to farmers.

To strengthen the local strawberry production base, the Jeonnam Agricultural Technology Institute (Director Kim Heung-ran) announced on the 17th that it will supply 50,000 healthy and superior strawberry seedlings to 21 locations in 9 cities and counties (3 institutions, 18 farms) by the 31st. The strawberry cultivation area in the Jeonnam region is 585 hectares, accounting for 10% of the national total, with an annual production of 15,708 tons and 2,311 farming households. The annual demand for strawberry seedlings in the province is approximately 64 million, but the amount supplied through the superior seedling production and distribution project is only about 30%, making it necessary to continuously distribute superior seedlings to secure a stable production base.
