BEFL has released a rating of the 75 largest agricultural land owners in Russia, covering a total area of 19 million hectares, an increase of 0.5 million hectares from the previous year. The 2024 agricultural business saw a significant increase in mergers and acquisitions, with the monetary volume of these transactions increasing almost threefold from the previous year. The rating includes four new companies and excludes seven, with the land bank of the top 10 companies accounting for 41% of the total land bank. The trend continues towards large land owners consolidating their assets, although they still control less than 5% of all agricultural land in the country.
