The article reports on the completion of the last wet grape harvest of 2022 in the Sarıgöl Plain of Manisa, Turkey, a region known for the Seedless Sultaniye Grape. This unique harvest was possible due to covered viticulture, allowing producers to preserve fresh grapes until the end of the year. The district harvested 240 thousand tons of fresh grapes and contributed to the national economy. The grapes were kept fresh under covers, effectively serving as makeshift cold storage, and are protected from natural events. The article highlights the significance of this practice in Sarıgöl, extending the grape season and providing fresh grapes to consumers until the end of the year.
