The MAPA concludes the first 300 aid files for shipowners from Huelva, Cádiz, and Málaga due to storms.

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, held a "positive and constructive" meeting this Thursday in Isla Cristina (Huelva) with representatives from the fishing sector of the Gulf of Cádiz, according to ministerial sources. During the meeting, issues related to the situation of the various fisheries in those waters and the impact on the activity of the storms that occurred between January and February and the war in the Middle East were analyzed. Planas informed that the Ministry has already completed the first 300 files for the payment of the subsidies enabled by the Government for shipowners from Huelva, Cádiz, and Málaga as compensation for the loss of income on days they could not go fishing due to the storms, amounting to 1.5 million euros.
