INTERFAX.RU - From July 1 this year, the minimum price for vodka in the Russian Federation has been increased to 299 rubles per 0.5 liter, brandy - to 403 rubles, cognac - to 556 rubles per 0.5 liter. This is provided for by the order of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation that has entered into force. The new minimum prices will be in effect until December 31, 2026. Before July 1, the minimum retail price for vodka was 281 rubles per 0.5 liter, brandy - 375 rubles, cognac - 517 rubles. As reported in the explanatory note to the draft order, price indexation is associated with the level of inflation, an increase in excise tax rates on alcoholic beverages with a strength above 9 degrees (from 613 to 643 rubles per 1 liter of anhydrous ethyl alcohol) and an increase in the cost of producing alcoholic products.
