The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has reassured the public that there will be no significant price fluctuations for the country's watermelons and melons this year. The organized sector's melon crop harvest is expected to reach approximately 652 thousand tons in 2024, marking a slight increase from the previous season. Despite concerns over potential impacts from return frosts and weather conditions, key production regions like Astrakhan, Volgograd, Saratov, Rostov, Kherson, Krasnodar Territory, Dagestan, Crimea, and Chechen Republic have not been significantly affected. These regions contribute significantly to Russia's watermelon and melon production, helping to ensure a stable supply and preventing the price hikes that were previously predicted.
