The poultry sector is registering an upward trend in poultry meat production, according to the six-month statistics for white meat slaughterhouses in 2025.
For the first six months of this year, the total number of slaughtered birds amounts to 33,969 million, of which 29,521 million are broiler chickens, 3,056 million are ducks, and the remaining birds and rabbits are 1,360 million.
Of these, the total slaughter weight, including by-products and fatty liver, is estimated at 66,342 tons, with the largest amount being chicken meat – 54,426 tons, 9,364 tons is duck meat, and meat from other birds and rabbits is 2,549 tons.
Despite avian influenza: White meat production is increasing
The trend shows a steady maintenance of the direction of increasing poultry meat production in the first six months of the year, with the number of slaughtered birds in the second quarter of the year moving around 6 million per month. The meat obtained from them is approximately 12 thousand tons per month.
