The article reports a significant increase in the prices of 94 goods in Iran over the past year, with 24 goods seeing a price hike of over 100%. The most substantial increase was in day-old chicks, which saw a price surge of 432.2%. Other goods like imported soybean meal, barley, corn, and wheat bran also experienced substantial price increases. As a result, the cost of chicken, meat, eggs, and dairy products has risen due to increased animal feed prices. Additionally, the price of various grains, rice, and oil products also doubled or tripled. While the prices of some goods fell slightly between April and May, over half of the goods saw a price increase of less than 50%, including staples like rice, milk, beef, and eggs. None of the goods had a price decrease compared to the previous year, and cement prices rose by over 20% in May compared to April.
