The price of corn falls to R$ 46.66/sc in MT

The corn market ended last week in decline in the state of Mato Grosso. According to data from the Mato-grossense Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), the average price of a 60-kilogram sack was R$ 46.66, a 1.30% drop compared to the previous week. The main factor behind the contraction is the increase in the supply available in the domestic market, which, combined with the slower pace of negotiations, has limited support for prices. The appreciation of the real against the dollar has also reduced the competitiveness of exports, which directly affects the outflow of local production to the external market.
