The Government Office has just issued document No. 5931/VPCP-KTTH dated 27/06/2025, conveying the Prime Minister's directive regarding the content "Vietnamese Agricultural Products Face Risks in Europe due to Traceability", mentioned in the report on 15/06 of the Government Electronic Information Portal. According to media and public reflections, in the first half of 2025, numerous key Vietnamese agricultural products such as coffee, pepper, and fruits have encountered strict warnings from the European Union. The primary reason is the failure to fully meet requirements for traceability, food safety standards, and production sustainability. Specifically, the EU has implemented a new regulation against deforestation (EUDR), requiring products like coffee, pepper, wood, and rubber to prove no involvement in deforestation activities after 2020.
