The Nizhny Novgorod region has seen a doubling of greenhouse vegetable production in the first eleven months of the year compared to the same period in the previous year, with a total production of 20.4 thousand tons. The main crops include cucumbers, tomatoes, and salad greens, produced across four factories covering approximately 40.8 hectares. The region's Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources reports that state support, including a 15% energy cost reimbursement and additional subsidies for 'light culture' technology, contributes to the production boost. In 2022, the region has allocated 5.6 billion rubles in subsidies to support the agro-industrial complex and rural development, with 4.9 billion rubles already allocated to agricultural enterprises.
