Denizli, a city in Turkey and the fourth largest pomegranate producer in the country, has started exporting its pomegranate harvest to Russia, Canada, and several European Union countries. The city, which cultivates pomegranates over an area of 23,814 decares, has seen a significant increase in production due to favorable ecological conditions and high demand. The pomegranates are grown in areas such as Pamukkale, Buldan, Güney, and Sarayköy, using integrated control and good agricultural practices. The majority of the pomegranates, around 70-80 percent, are exported to the Russian Federation and Canada, while the rest are processed into fruit juice locally. The pomegranates from Denizli have received high ratings for their taste, quality, and lack of pesticide residue, making them popular in the export market.
