In the Odesa region, the second season of cotton cultivation has begun—a crop that could become strategic for both the economy and defense of Ukraine. In 2023, maximum yield reached 2.4 tons/hectare, and scientists confirm that the region's climate is favorable for industrial cultivation. This was reported on the Public Broadcasting website. To support farmers, the government has approved a subsidy of 10,000 hryvnias per hectare. Applications can be submitted from June 10 to July 10 through the State Agrarian Register, with payments promised by September 15.
