INTERFAX.RU - The share of domestically bred seeds in the agricultural complex of the Russian Federation in 2025 was 69.3% compared to 60.3% in 2022, according to a presentation by the Ministry of Agriculture at the All-Russian Agronomical Conference on Wednesday. The document was posted on the "Seed Production in Russia" Telegram channel. In 2024, this indicator was 67.6%, it was previously reported. The share of domestic seeds in the cultivation of sugar beet has actively grown to 24.2% from 8.2% in 2024. The share of domestic rapeseed seeds has doubled to 67.8% from 33.8%, sunflower seeds to 58.8% from 43.9%, soybean seeds to 50.1% from 52.6%, and corn seeds to 49.5% from 46% respectively. In accordance with the food security doctrine, by 2030, the share of domestically bred seeds in the agricultural complex of the Russian Federation should reach 75%.
