The number of workers employed in the soybean and biodiesel production chain grew by 7.15% in the third quarter of 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 2.39 million people. According to data released by Cepea in partnership with Abiove, the segment accounted for 2.34% of the total occupation in the Brazilian economy and 10.35% of the total in agribusiness. This growth was mainly driven by the "pre-farm gate" and agroservices segments, boosted by the increase in the area planted with soybeans and the greater use of technologies in the crops. The input sector registered a 7.09% growth in employment, which represents about 10,000 new jobs. Agroservices had a significant increase of 12.08% in the number of workers, reflecting the increase in soybean production and processing, which requires a higher volume of logistics and industrial services.
