Tartari mentioned that several years ago they had the intention of including sunflower in the production system, but there was a deficit in the commercial part. In this regard, he commented that this year there was an important contribution from the industry to incentivize the cultivation, through a production contract. "We, as producers, are guaranteed that they will buy our goods at a defined price with a defined quality parameter, which is something we did not have in Paraguay until this year and is a fundamental factor to be able to develop the cultivation," he emphasized. He stressed that sunflower is a noble, rustic crop, quite simple in terms of agronomy and with a short cycle. "We believe that it will adapt very well to the Chaco environment," he affirmed.
