The demand for consumption has increased and the supply is low, keeping the prices high even though this item is in the harvest season. In the domestic market, pepper prices are hovering around 140,000 VND/kg, with not much fluctuation compared to the end of March even though the pepper harvest is taking place in the eastern provinces and the Central Highlands. It is expected that Vietnam's pepper harvest will end by the end of April. The United States and China are increasing their imports, causing the pepper price to remain high.
