Hungary: The wholesale price of domestic raspberries increased by 20%

According to Eurostat data, Spain is the largest exporter of fresh raspberries in the EU internal market, and Germany is the leading importer. On the other hand, Poland is the most important player in the export of frozen raspberries, and Germany is also the largest receiving market. The Union is not self-sufficient in any of the products - concludes the AKI in its market report. Last year, 44,000 tons of fresh raspberries were put on the community market (-21% vs. 2021), but exports also decreased to 20,000 tons (-7%). The biggest supplier is Morocco, almost all the raspberries came from here. The EU foreign trade balance is even worse for frozen raspberries: 108,000 tons of imports are opposed to 15,000 tons of exports in 2022. Almost half of the imports came from Serbia.
