Sheep and Goat Pox, a disease eradicated in Spain since 1968, has been confirmed in two farms in Spain, marking the tenth and eleventh focuses in Andalusia and the first in Almería. The disease, which affects only sheep and goats, was identified following the appearance of compatible lesions in animals. The Ministry has implemented control measures including slaughter of animals, cleaning, and movement restrictions. A budget of 500,000 euros has been allocated to aid farmers affected by the disease, alongside existing support.
