To achieve the export target of 10.5 billion USD this year, the industry needs to create over 5.4 billion USD in output in the second half of the year.
In the first half of the year, Vietnam's shrimp product exports amounted to 2.07 billion USD (an increase of 26%), and basa fish exports amounted to 1 billion USD (an increase of 10%).
China, the United States, and Japan remain the three largest markets for Vietnam's exports, accounting for 19.6%, 18.2%, and 15% of Vietnam's total seafood exports, respectively.
In the first half of the year, Vietnam's seafood exports to China surged by 53.7%, while exports to the United States and Japan increased by 22.8% and 9.1%, respectively.
Brazil has also become a rapidly growing market, with exports to it increasing by 71.3%.
