The organic agricultural sector in Chile is expected to see continued growth in both demand and trade value. The country has a strong export industry, with over 200 companies contributing to the export of products such as fresh and frozen blueberries, apples, olive oil, wines, and fruit pulps. Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, organic food exports in 2020 reached US $ 295 million. The main markets include the US, Canada, the Netherlands, and Germany, while shipments to the European Union amounted to US $ 51 million. There is optimism for the sector's future, with increasing global demand for organic products and opportunities in emerging markets like China.
