Trade between Brazil and China maintained strong dynamism at the beginning of 2026, with a relevant advance in Brazilian exports and changes in the import profile. According to the data presented, exports to the Asian country grew by 21.7% in the first quarter, reaching US$ 23.9 billion, while imports declined by 6%, totaling US$ 17.9 billion. China remained the main destination for Brazilian products, accounting for 29% of exports in the period, and also led as a supplier of goods to Brazil, with a participation of 26.3%. The performance of exports was mainly driven by oil, which reached a record value of US$ 7.19 billion in the quarter, reflecting the high volume of shipments, with emphasis on cargo originating in Rio de Janeiro.
